Locked periods and late receipts
Gladpaid reads your ledger's lock dates before posting. A late receipt for a locked period is queued, never forced in.

Closed periods stay closed. Before every posting batch, Gladpaid reads the lock settings in your ledger and will not post into a period that is locked.

When a receipt dates into a locked period
A transfer confirmed on 30 June arrives after June is locked, for example because a customer's payment was found in a backfill. Gladpaid queues it with a plain note, and you choose:

Post in the first open period
The entry is dated on the first open day. A note records the original date in both periods' close packs.

Hold it
Leave it queued while whoever manages the lock decides whether to reopen the period in the ledger. Gladpaid posts it at its own date once the ledger allows it.
Periods locked inside Gladpaid
Signing off a month in Gladpaid also locks that period in Gladpaid, independent of your ledger. A late receipt into a period signed off in Gladpaid is handled the same way, and reopening needs a reason that is recorded in the audit trail. See Month-end close.
