Reconnecting QuickBooks or Xero
What happens when ledger access expires or is revoked, what keeps running, and how to reconnect in a minute.
Updated
Access to QuickBooks or Xero can lapse: someone disconnects the app in the ledger, a password change revokes access, or the connection reaches the provider's maximum age. Gladpaid notices at the next sync and tells the business by email and in the queue.
What keeps running and what pauses
| Keeps running | Pauses until you reconnect |
|---|---|
| Watching addresses and recording new transfers | Posting entries to the ledger |
| Valuing transfers and storing evidence | Refreshing open invoices and customers |
| Matching against the invoices already loaded | Detecting changes made in the ledger |
Nothing is lost while disconnected. Receipts keep arriving and wait in the ready-to-post batch.

Gladpaid refreshes invoices, checks for changes made while disconnected, and the paused batch is ready to post.
