Overage and when an upgrade is suggested
What each transaction above your plan costs, when you are warned, and why an upgrade is only suggested when it saves money.
Updated
A busy month never stops Gladpaid working. Transactions above your plan's allowance are simply billed at a per-transaction rate at the end of the period.
Overage rates
| Plan | Included | Each transaction after |
|---|---|---|
| Starter | 60 | $0.60 |
| Business | 300 | $0.40 |
| Scale | 1,500 | $0.25 |
| Firm | 300 per client, pooled across clients | $0.35 |
Warnings
When a business reaches 80% of its included transactions in a period, owners see a notice in the app and get an email. Usage so far is always visible under Settings → Billing.
When an upgrade is suggested
Gladpaid suggests a higher plan only when your overage would cost more than the next plan. It never nudges you up for the sake of it.
| Transactions in the month | Starter cost | Business cost | Suggestion |
|---|---|---|---|
| 150 | $69 + 90 × $0.60 = $123 | $149 | None. Starter is cheaper. |
| 200 | $69 + 140 × $0.60 = $153 | $149 | Upgrade suggested. Business is $4 cheaper and adds auto-post and 13 months of history. |
Upgrading takes effect immediately and the price is prorated for the rest of the period. Downgrading takes effect at the next renewal.
