Billing, the trial and what happens when it ends

The 14-day no-card trial, the plans, what counts as a reconciled transaction, and every billing state explained.

Updated

The trial

Every new business gets 14 days free, with no card, at Business-plan limits. It runs on your own data from day one: the previous full month plus the month to date. Posting to your ledger is allowed during the trial, because the value has to be real.

The plans

PlanPriceReconciled transactions included
Starter$69 / month60
Business$149 / month300
Scale$349 / month1,500
Firm$99 per client business / month300 per client, pooled

Plans are billed monthly per business. Full details, including overage, are on Pricing and in Overage and upgrades.

What counts as a reconciled transaction

One on-chain transfer into or out of a watched address that Gladpaid values and classifies. Pending, failed and spam transfers do not count. Team members, reviewers and the month-end close are never charged for.

Billing states

StateWhat you can do
Trial, days 1–14Everything.
Trial ended, no planRead-only for 30 days: everything visible and exportable, no new posting. Watching continues so nothing is missed. Then watching pauses and the ledger is disconnected. Data is kept 90 days, then deleted, with an email before it happens.
ActiveEverything.
Payment failedEverything for 7 days, with a banner, while the card is retried. Then posting and exports pause. Watching and matching continue, so catching up is simple.
CancelledEverything until the end of the paid period, then as "trial ended, no plan".

Change or cancel your plan, update your card and download invoices under Settings → Billing, which opens the secure billing portal. Only members with the Owner role can see billing.

Catch-up

Behind on the books? A one-off catch-up for $199 per business reconciles 13 months of history, whatever your plan. Buy it under Settings → Billing → Catch-up.
